Quietlane

Terms of Use

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms apply when you use the Quietlane app, which is provided by Jasper Sion, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By using it you agree to them. Please read the section on safety carefully.

Your use of the app is also covered by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula). If these terms and Apple's agreement differ, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.

1. Riding safely is your responsibility

Quietlane suggests routes that favour cycle paths and quiet roads and avoid roads we consider dangerous. It can't see what you can see.

2. The app and your subscription

3. Share my ride

Only share your live link with people you trust, and only share it yourself. Don't use Quietlane to follow or track another person without their knowledge and agreement.

4. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app or our services. That includes trying to break, overload or get around their security, copying the service, or using automated tools to send requests.

5. Map data and other content

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (openstreetmap.org/copyright). Weather data by Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0). Other components are listed under Acknowledgements in the app. The Quietlane app, name and design belong to us.

6. Availability

We work to keep Quietlane running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Planning routes needs an internet connection. Features may change as we improve the app.

7. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Otherwise, we are responsible only for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss caused by your not following the safety guidance above, by errors in third-party map data, or by events outside our reasonable control. The app is for personal, non-commercial use, and we are not responsible for any business losses.

8. Ending these terms

You can stop using Quietlane at any time by deleting the app and cancelling your subscription. We may suspend access if you seriously break these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, let you know in the app. If you keep using Quietlane after a change, the new terms apply.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
